HISTORY

Utah Open Lands' land saving mission began in 1990, in an office on Prospector Avenue in Park City, UT. At that time, Summit County was one of the top five fastest growing counties in the nation. As the pressures of growth and development increased, the need for open space protection was even more urgent.  In response, we became a regional land trust with the mission of serving as a statewide resource for land preservation.
