Located in Utah County adjacent to Camp W.G. Williams Army National Guard training area, the Preserve's values identified include conservation interests that range from wildlife and plant habitat to agricultural use to scenic value. Utah Open Lands has identified one natural community which bolsters land used frequently for grazing; a variety of wildlife habitat including ring-necked pheasant, pronghorn antelope, hares and birds of prey. This land is situated wihtin the area of the current project Eagle Mountain Wildlife Migration Corridor Preservation managed by the DWR's Shane Hill.
The Property was selected for placement under a conservation easement through the Army Compatible Use
Buffer (ACUB) program. This program enables the Army to partner with entities that can assist in ensuring buffer installations that also act in tandem as wildlife conservation areas and prevent development of areas deemed as critical open space.
