BAKER AND GRISWOLD LAND PRESERVE
Protected in 1999
Acreage: 320
Summit County, UT

320 acres, known to most as Murdock Basin, is now permanently protected from residential and commercial development. As The Canyons Ski Area expands its resort development and ski operations, this visible part of the moutainscape is now safeguarded from development and left in its near pristine condition. Recognizing that the protection of Park City’s scenic beauty and undeveloped character is critical to preserving the long term economic vitality of the resort town, Kenny Griswold and Michael Baker donated a conservation easement on land many may have assumed was already protected.
