volunteer monitor

Every year, Utah Open Lands monitors  64,000 acres of protected lands across Utah.

We can't do it all on our own.

Want to get involved?
Here's who we're looking for:

A Volunteer Monitor is an unpaid position. The monitor will, on an annual or more-frequent basis, be required to go out onto their assigned property for a monitoring visit.

Visits can be as quick as 30-minutes or as long as a full-day, depending on the property.

The monitor must document the property with geo-located photos (an iPhone or Android with Location Tracking will do).

The monitor will file a report with our Stewardship Director, who will review it and file it!

That's it!
