Our 30 Year Video
Like many of our members we are taking solace in our open spaces and the opportunities to bike or hike or watch the ebb and flow of nature. We are grateful that you, our members, have enabled us to protect such vital community resources that, now more than ever, are the go-tos for so many of us.
In this changed and brave new world we made the decision to cancel the in-person part of our annual fundraiser, Portraits of Preservation, this year. Also, this year is our Anniversary, Utah Open Lands has been protecting our beloved landscapes for 30 years. We were going to have a celebration that reflects on our successes from the past and our vision of the next projects soon to be protected. But you can still view the short video that was to be part of the program.
We will miss celebrating with you all as we have many accomplishments to share just in this last year alone. If you have hiked on Bonanza Flat you know we have been working with Park City in creating a more sustainable trail system. If you have hiked at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon or driven by the Heber Valley Artisan Cheese shop in Midway, you know we are hard at work saving those places that feed, sustain and rejuvenate us.
We know that this is a different world and although we can't have Portraits this year in person we hope you will still be able to support us. In the past your ticket purchase to Portraits supported the foundation of this organization, its general operations. Portraits is key to as they say 'keeping the lights on'. Your participation in Portraits Re-Imagined this year can still fuel this land saving mission which beyond campaigns allows us to work with landowners who donate conservation easements, work with communities to achieve solid open space visions and to steward the over 62,000 acres protected to date. You can start browsing the Auction site now. Unable to visit our auction you can still DONATE NOW.
