Internship
Program
Land trust work is a rapidly growing sector
of the environmental field. Individuals seeking full-time jobs with
organizations working to preserve the environment are increasingly needed
to demonstrate their interest and experience, and internships are an
invaluable means of accomplishing this requirement. Examples of internships
with UOL include: Executive Director Assistant and Programs Assistant,
Volunteer Coordinator and Monitoring Coordinator. Internships are an
excellent opportunity for hands-on, grassroots experience with a growing
conservation organization and often times can be realized as credits
through a university or college program. Strong communication, writing,
computer and organization skills would be required, with an interest
or previous experience in environmental work a plus. Call for application
