Description: Open land protected by the conservation easement generally south-facing hillside with mature northern oak and mountain shrub habitat. In context of rapid housing and commercial development in the Park City area, the Easement Property is particularly valuable because it permanently protects a natural area. The hillside of the Easement Property is visible from Interstate Highway 80, forming part of the viewscape for travelers and local residents. The Easement provides beauty and natural interest at both small and large scales, opportunities for healthy recreation, and will also provide a good opportunity for education. Besides Gambel oak, vegetation on the Easement Property also includes bigtooth maple, snowberry, chokecherry, currant, serviceberry and big sagebrush. Vegetation on the Easement Property helps to support wildlife such as mule deer and elk, which contribute to mountain ecosystems, the cultural experience of mountain life, and which provide interest for many people. Moose Hollow Road runs through the southeastern portion of the Easement Property. Single-track, natural-surface trails on the Property tie in with the current Moose Hollow Trail.
